hello.

Update: April 6, 2025

Dearest shed folks,

We are open Wednesday to Saturday, 11 to 5.

Woodrow No. 25 was a notable fire. New ideas were introduced, and fresh pots emerged. We are excited to welcome you back.

I have worked to release a surprise spring webshop update. The work includes our guest potters Stephen Corner (wood-fired), Lesley MacInally (electric-fired), Terry Hildebrand (gas-soda fired), Lara Elliot (wood-fired), Homestead Pottery/Lisa Barry (wood-fired), Ryan Byng (my husband) and a special edition release made by me, Johann Munro.

I will try for another small update in the early summer of the For the Love of Townes Collection. For now, what remains of that collection is sold strictly through our brick-and-mortar.

We hope you find a pot or two to enjoy. Sometimes, web sales can go very fast. There is nothing I can do to create an easy, guaranteed shopping experience. It is the nature of high-demand items. I want you to know I care deeply about your attempts to snag the work listed. Please remember we will always make more pots; the best way to shop is through our gallery in St. Catharines. I appreciate your interest in our work and the work of our peers. Your support means the world to us all.

Love, j + r

We hope the following tips and suggestions set you up for a successful online shopping experience:

Special Edition

Spring Release

Each mug was fired three times, first in an electric kiln, then in our wood kiln for 22 hours of manual wood stoking. Each mug was tested and hand-sanded before the application of vintage-inspired decals. The mugs were loaded into the kiln for a third firing to seal the transfers to the surface.

Expect variation in your mug in both appearance and touch. Each mug has a “cracked” effect around the handle; this is a direct result of thick slip application. It is intentional and in no way impacts the integrity of your handle attachment.

To ensure the longevity of your decal-decorated mug, hand wash it only and do not use it in the microwave.

Regarding shipping, because we use a third-party platform to calculate shipping rates, the rate you are quoted at checkout is only an estimate based on the average cost from across Canada and the US. If you order multiple items, there may be an additional shipping fee if it is greater than $5 of what was charged at the time of checkout; we will email you to confirm the increase in the shipping fees before proceeding with packing your order. Our third-party shipping provider has highly competitive rates, and we can often offer a small refund rather than incur any increases. We will refund any overages greater than $5.
