hello.

Update: Nov. 19, 2024

Dearest shed folks,

Thank you for your patience as we wrap up the final making cycle before the holidays. We are glazing and wadding our wares this week in preparation for our fire early next week. As Murphay’s law would have it, the weather looks rainy all week. We need a window of at least two days of good weather to fire the kiln. Our wood must stay dry, and given the duration of the fire, I also cannot be standing in the pouring rain for 24 hours, or exhaustion coupled with the elements will take its toll on my health. We are determined and not shy of a little cold weather or rain, so if Mother Nature can provide even the smallest offering of relief from the rain, we will continue on early next week with the fire. The kiln will need 4 days to cool, and then we shall sand, test, and release the work to the shop; this usually takes about a week. I am full steam ahead. I hope by early December, we will have the shop ready to go. Once the pots hit the shelves, I will announce on social media and we will extend our hours.

I am looking forward to seeing you all. It has been weeks of my head down in production. I am ready for festive hugs and visits with you.

Love, j + r
